responded timely. It didn’t drag out longer than it should, and<\/p>\n

most important is the kids are going back to school. Education<\/p>\n

1st as it should always be. But what’s this $75,000 bill for some<\/p>\n

massage chairs? I kid, I joke. They didn’t drag this out which is<\/p>\n

a win for education, & the rights of all hard working teachers in<\/p>\n

What happens when today’s GOP doesn’t want to talk about its<\/p>\n

policy, plan, or hateful words? That’s easy, point your finger &<\/p>\n

what you said magically go away. Mitty wants to shift to Obama<\/p>\n

now. Ha! He’s pulling the ol “Three Stooges” bit of “What in the<\/p>\n

world could that be?”, then running away. He’s trying to shift the<\/p>\n

focus to a speech Obama gave in 98 to some students. Here<\/a> it is:<\/p>\n

\nhave to do is resuscitate the notion that government action can be <\/em>

\ndeserved. The Chicago Housing Authority has not been a model of <\/em>
\ngood policy making, and neither necessarily has been the Chicago <\/em>
\nPublic Schools. What it means then is that as we try to resuscitate <\/em>
\nthis notion that we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re all in this thing together, leave nobody behind, <\/em>
\nwe do have to be innovative in thinking what are the delivery systems <\/em>
\nthat are effective and meet people where they live. And my suggestion, <\/em>
\nI guess, would be that the trick \u00e2\u20ac\u201d & this is one of the few areas where <\/em>
\nI think there are technical issues that have to be dealt with as opposed <\/em>
\nto just political issues \u00e2\u20ac\u201d I think the trick is figuring out how do we <\/em>
\nstructure government systems that pool resources and hence facilitate <\/em>
\nsome redistribution. Because I actually believe in redistribution, at <\/em>
\nleast at a certain level, to make sure everybody\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s got a shot\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n

Shit! He’s suggesting making government more agile, efficient, &<\/p>\n

really solve problems, not just give a hand out? Being very critical<\/p>\n

of CHA, & CPS? He should be. Government isn’t there to give us<\/p>\n

some free shit. They’re there to provide us a sense of structure, &<\/p>\n

fairness in the community. If this is a “smoking gun” where’s the<\/p>\n

smoke? I’d ask any person to honestly disagree with what he said<\/p>\n

Hell, I’d run on that all the way to a landslide election. FDR did<\/p>\n

This is just a re-run of the 08 Palin, & Joe The Plumber schtick<\/p>\n

Mitt seems to believe “redistribution of wealth” isn’t something<\/p>\n

our country does. Ahem, please see the 16th amendment. They<\/p>\n

are called TAXES fucko. Demonizing taxes rejects our economic<\/p>\n

history. Take a peek at our tax rate in the 50-60’s of 91-92% for<\/p>\n

income tax. It built our entire middle class. Any economist will<\/p>\n

tell you. A strong middle class, means strong consumers for the<\/p>\n

top 3%. They know it, but they are greedy & won’t part with any<\/p>\n

thing willingly, EVER. Listen to the Mitt tape again. They laugh<\/p>\n

It was like some cartoonish version of the rich, demonizing this<\/p>\n

cartoon version of the poor. Well Mitt, these people will not be<\/p>\n

voting for you: teachers, unions, cops, lawyers, soldiers, women<\/p>\n

gays, African Americans, Latino’s, Hispanics, students, labors,<\/p>\n

minimum wagers, gen X’ers, average folks, & now 47% of the US<\/p>\n

This election is far from over, time still exists. If Democrats can<\/p>\n

run out the clock, stay focused, not fumble, and vote. They will<\/p>\n

win. If Obama doesn’t literally shit himself on stage during the<\/p>\n

debate, or choke an elderly women to death at a campaign event<\/p>\n
